Debden Village Cake

We were commissioned to produce a cake of our local village by a London-based creative agency. It measured 2ft 6" by 3ft and took 65 hours to design and create. It included the main parts of a typical English village, village pub, pond, school, shop, playing field and hall.

The ingredients included 7.1kg of mixed fruit; half a bottle of brandy, 1.8kg butter, 1.8kg sugar, 31 eggs the rind of 7 oranges and lemons, 2.5kg marzipan and 3.5kg sugar paste.
